Cordova Comeback!

We have been working this area consistently since last spring and the fruits of our labor are showing more and more. Our manual removal of the phragmites, though very labor intensive, is allowing the native species to regain a foothold. We are stopping the trash from overwhelming the watershed with our booms and we are steadily pulling the trash that had been dumping there since at least 1962. Kat Donaldson was down this weekend doing some survey work, getting trash and rewarded with a cardinal and catbird bathing in water that was not accessible no too long ago.
