No trash at the boom on Mud Run?!
Went out today to clean and this is what I found along Mud Run. Not wanting to call anyone out but we do need some help in this one section so it stays clean.
He did not notice any substance in the water. Out of caution and past experiences especially in this location, we reported to OEPA and received a quick reply. 102 pounds in 4 bags. Thanks again to the Service Team at the City of Akron for picking up what we collect! With the weather warming, we will get to service some of the other booms soon and start deploying new ones in the near future. Not just the same old places.

Spent some time collecting at Mud Run (3 bags 39 pounds), Wolf Creek (1 bag 8 pounds) and new boom off of Cordova (5 bags 59 pounds).
This is one of the MAJOR sources of trash coming into Summit Lake. I was out surveying outfalls from my kayak today. We already have two booms on the lake and with some collaboration, we should be deploying a few more on and around the lake soon. Did pull a bag of trash today.
