Out on a little patrol along Mud Run this morning.

Hidden under the snow is a fair amount of trash in the booms. Will likely be hitting that either Monday or Tuesday morning.

The rainbow and discoloration is petroleum pollution most likely from our roads and parking lots all of which dump onto storm sewers and all of which dump into our waterways. There are the big disaster spills of a 1000 gallons of oil that get our attention and outrage, however the eternal dripping of pollution goes unnoticed until it is slowed or stopped in places like this. This too needs our attention! Pick it up and clean it up is the best way to make a difference.
