YOUNG’S RESTAURANT FALL POP-UP REVIEW and SURVEY LINK

Saturday’s Fall Pop-up at the former Young’s Restaurant on Nesmith Lake, “The Future of Youngs”, was a pretty big success! Considering River Guardians Ohio only had a few weeks to advertise, we had well over 300 people attend the four hour event to enjoy local food trucks such as Eddies Famous Cheesesteaks and Grille, Southern Comfort Kitchen, Bob’s Hamburg on Wheels, The Dirty Robber Food and Ice Cream Truck, Bronzed & Brewed, music by Mike Ez Ely, kids activities by Infinite Balloons, LLC, pumpkin decorating, corn hole toss by Lock 3 Akron, Ohio, fun with our Kenmore Historical Society‘s Cardinal and more.

Most importantly, and the reason for the pop-up, City of Akron, OH was able to get the communities input on what they would like to see, what they don’t want to see, and what improvements the site needs to make them want to come back and enjoy it. If you have a love for this area and weren’t able to attend the pop-up, it’s not too late to share your input. Simply, click on the link below and it will take you to the survey.

PLEASE TAKE THE SURVEY HERE: https://arcg.is/19Xeiy2

This survey will be active until Wed, Nov. 4, 2026. So let your voices be heard, the City of Akron wants to hear from you today!

In the meantime, we hope you enjoy a glimpse at the fun we had!
