Great things happen at Ward 9 meetings! Last night #RiverkeepersOhio was gifted this extendable rake for our work by Julie Ann Sweet-Buntin! Thank You!!

Love it because it is pushing the trash to our booms for us to collect instead of going into the Tuscarawas and Summit Lake! Thanks again to the City of Akron, Summit Metro Parks and Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition for picking up what is collected.
We pulled somewhere between 300 and 400 pounds of trash from the south west side of the lake. Pictured are Johnny, Eric and myself. Couple notes, Johnny started off in green, ended in blue, what might be the reason for that? 🤣. He also received an award for Most Trash! A fun morning! Crystal, where…
…this is one of the things we do, clean our trash booms at Mud Run. 2.5 bags of trash, Chair, 5 Gallon bucket of something for close to 100 pounds. (Listen to the video for more details.)
46 pounds of trash from this spot today. This is a demonstration of how we do this after a rain event.
OEPA has been on site and taking action with containment and investigation of the source. Excellent work by both the OEPA and City of Akron for their quick response and action.
Little over 100 pounds today. The video and my narration is about an hour and a half of time condensed down to 3 min. Even in my younger days I could not move like this.
