Great things happen at Ward 9 meetings!
Great things happen at Ward 9 meetings! Last night #RiverkeepersOhio was gifted this extendable rake for our work by Julie Ann Sweet-Buntin! Thank You!!

We have been working this area consistently since last spring and the fruits of our labor are showing more and more. Our manual removal of the phragmites, though very labor intensive, is allowing the native species to regain a foothold. We are stopping the trash from overwhelming the watershed with our booms and we are…
OEPA did visit this boom today. We have not heard what this is exactly. When we know, we will share. Did get about 30 pounds of trash out.
We used this Ecoscape borrowed from Summit Soil and Water Conservation District to make pollution in our waterways, show where it comes from and how we can take measures to prevent and stop it. We used silly putty to make booms and that throwback chair took me back to my own childhood back in midevil…
Thank you Ken Evans at Signal Akron for doing this story on River Guardians Ohio! I am super proud of my husband James Carnahan aka Opa Runs and all his volunteers for all the work they do to keep our waterways clean and so much more!! 💥
Along with Jennifer, Eric Fitch joined us today too and we pulled 15 bags at 177 pounds of trash from Mud Run keeping it out of the Gulf! In the video they share their thoughts. Thank you both and Dave for turning this 2+ hour job into about an hour.
49 pounds of trash in 4 bags isn’t too bad for a 40 degree day in winter and this view was my reward!
