Trash that will not make it into Summit Lake!

Tuesday we spent some time at the canal boom and grabbed a little over 40 pounds of trash the Summit Metro Parks picked up for us. This boom alone has been responsible for thousands of pounds trash over the past couple years. Another cool thing about this boom, it is visible to the public along the towpath south of Summit Lake and you can see first hand how it works.

If you are interested in helping River Guardians Ohio, we could use a few able bodied persons to adopt a boom. The more people we have monitoring and maintaining booms, the more we can deploy. Feel free to email us here.
