Kat Donaldson and Tyler Seeley joined River Guardians Ohio to support the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition with their monthly Summit Lake cleanup.

They had about 30 volunteers so we wandered down to the area on the south east side of the lake to focus on an spot that hasn’t been getting much love because of accessibility. We have been clearing an encampment and removing phragmites over the past few weeks.

Today we worked the waters edge and pulled 423 pounds of trash that had been there for years!!! There is still much work to do in this section but we are showing what tenacity, little soreness, some blood and lots of laughter can accomplish.
