A little love on the canal boom south of Summit Lake.
60 pounds caught and collected before it got lost in the lake. We anticipate lots more trash at all of our booms in the near future. Everything trapped in the snow along the roads and parking lots will release as things melt and coming rains will send it through the storm sewers and into our waterways.
Avian Flu has been reported and we are finding dead geese. ODNR is aware. If you come across dead birds, especially geese as they seem to be affected more at this point, DO NOT TOUCH THEM. Report to a local authority and they will collect them.
