Couple weeks ago Riverkeepers Ohio noticed the odd color to the bottom in the canal near a cleanup spot. Odd enough to notify the OEPA. Long story short, there was a contamination (did not affect the ecosystem according to the investigator) and today the issue has been corrected and cleaned up. The system, though imperfect, does work.
