Since the spring of this year, RGO has been working on bringing back some of the past glory to the Old Young’s restaurant site on Nesmith Lake.

Wednesday morning I went down to the lake to clean some trash only to find the Akron City Parks Department Crew hard at work clearing the shoreline. I made sure to give our thanks to these professionals and joined in the fun pulling out trash they were exposing. By Friday afternoon, we suspect that most of the heavy lifting will be done. RGO and the local community will help maintain the site going forward.

If you are cruising by, take a moment to look out over Nesmith Lake and feel the history. Better yet, grab your lunch and find some peace.
