Springfield Lake Outlet Project.

This is a quick review of what will be coming in the near future with this watershed.

Kary Burns-Bailey and Harley Baily had contacted River Guardians Ohio through Summit Soil and Water Conservation District about this watershed that runs through their community. Short version, I have met with them on site a couple times and slogged through the water with the family as they shared what it once was. They also shared how passionate the community is about restoring this stream back to what it was years ago.

Instead of complaining, we will be pulling up our sleeves, putting on boots and gloves to become part of the solution.

Through the Baileys, we will be holding a community meeting (date and time still to be determined but soon) to share our vision. This will be a collaborative effort that will include the City of Akron, along with other agencies as we plan.

We are very excited as this will be a model for how neighbors can pull together for a better environment.
