We deployed two more booms on Summit Lake this morning and cleaned up around the dock by the Nature Center.
Has been a busy week but well worth it! Next project will be deploying a boom on the canal south of the lake…maybe this weekend!

What do ya do when the drought isn’t feeding the booms?
Sean Blake suggested we go check out the dried up pool just south of the Nature Center off the towpath. 5 tires/wheels (dang those things were heavy!) and a couple bags of trash. Scariest part of the day, almost didn’t make it back home for Browns kickoff!!!

Couple weeks ago Riverkeepers Ohio noticed the odd color to the bottom in the canal near a cleanup spot. Odd enough to notify the OEPA. No trash at the boom on Mud Run?!
Went out today to clean and this is what I found along Mud Run. Not wanting to call anyone out but we do need some help in this one section so it stays clean.
