Kat, Johnny and I spent some time on the Cordova project this morning.
Johnny played with the new power tools while Kat and I pulled a little over 200 pounds of plastic and trash that has been collecting here since 1962.
This is the second cut on the phragmites since we started with several more over the next couple years. If you look close, some of the native species are making a comeback because of these efforts.
The trash, that will take some time to get out as we have to remove the phragmites just to get to the trash. Our goal over time is to turn this little stretch of water into the paradise Mother Earth intended. Challenge accepted!
