A winter meeting with key players at the Cordova project area to discuss what we have accomplished to date and plans for the near future and longer range goals.
I must say that working with Let’s Grow Akron, the Black Hawk Foundation and in this case Jeff Wilhite from Summit County Council has been and continues to be inspirational to say the least.
Over the past year I have witnessed the dreams of a few folks dedicated to giving back blossoming into a reality. Yes, I am being vague here because that is their story to tell and not yet at the point of unveiling. That will come soon enough. Stay tuned.
For our part as River Guardians Ohio, we have been working hard and planning out our strategy and the winter months are our opportunity to move to our next phase of restoring this watershed to its former beauty. Note: we have stopped close to a half ton of trash from entering the watershed and begun removing about an acre of invasive phragmites. (this will be a long battle).
There will be posts spotlighting our efforts once some of the holiday hustle and bustle wanes with pictures and videos.
A special shout out to Johnny Ringo for the work he has done so far on this property.
