What two old men are able to accomplish in a couple of hours on a Saturday morning?

610 pounds of trash, that’s what! (only a fraction of what is still there)

This is a recently abandoned encampment under the bridge on the south east side of Summit Lake. It has always been an eyesore and an impediment to us being able to access that shoreline to get to trash and place a boom. That changes starting today.

We are coordinating with Keep Akron Beautiful and the City of Akron to get the entire area cleaned and establish a presence here but in the meantime in typical #riverguardiansohio fashion, we just pull up our sleeves, put on the boots and get to work! Big thanks to Eric Fitch for his assistance!
