We deployed two more booms on Summit Lake this morning and cleaned up around the dock by the Nature Center.
Has been a busy week but well worth it! Next project will be deploying a boom on the canal south of the lake…maybe this weekend!

River Guardian Johnny Ringo swung by the Cordova Project to put eyes on the higher flow of water and came away with about 50 pounds of trash.
The “sludge” at the end is pretty common in our booms and we are working on a better way to remove it from our ecosystem. Making great progress at this location!

Wolf Creek boom in Norton broke away, a result of high water. Booms are designed to do just this so as not to cause flooding issues. We will get it reattached when the water comes down and it is safe.

Spent some time collecting at Mud Run (3 bags 39 pounds), Wolf Creek (1 bag 8 pounds) and new boom off of Cordova (5 bags 59 pounds).
