Can’t get in the water now but can check how booms are working! We did get 20 pounds out of the Nature Club’s boom that the kids built and installed last week outside the Nature Center. The new River Guardians Ohio members! Great Job! Thanks Thanks Summit Metro Parks!
A side benefit of having trash booms in the waterways and checking them regularly is you occasionally trap more than just trash.
OEPA did visit this boom today. We have not heard what this is exactly. When we know, we will share. Did get about 30 pounds of trash out.

Couple weeks ago Riverkeepers Ohio noticed the odd color to the bottom in the canal near a cleanup spot. Odd enough to notify the OEPA.
